The Challenge

Retail hardware chain Bowens needed a new website. A website that not only provided their regular information to trade customers, but also offered value to the DIY part of their target audience.

The website needed to be modern and up-to-date while still reflecting the family values within the business. The site needed to provide information about the stores, products and services and allow members to access their trade account information.

The Solution

Dogma created a site that was professional and friendly, and maintained a strong connection with the products and services on offer. Dogma also produced the majority of the photographs used throughout the website.

Dogma delivered a site, which utilises new and emerging technologies such as integrated Google maps and animation whilst ensuring the site remains completely accessible. Dogma also implemented their Digital Content Management system (DCM) for the site, allowing Bowens staff the ability to update any aspect of the site. We also integrated the new site with their existing trade accounts application, which is one of the key features in the trade section.

Dogma has also worked with Bowens to strategise ways that their suppliers could be promoted through the site. This now forms a major platform for Bowens in their supplier sponsorship packages that have recently been developed.

 

The Results

Bowens were thrilled with the result. The site was launched in May 2009.
