The Challenge

‘Spiritual Business: Creating a Business From the Heart’ is the debut book from Kate Forster, the Founder of Spiritual Business. This book is the outcome of a yearlong experiment, where she tried all things esoteric within her integrated communications agency, Dogma. When Kate could not find a relevant business-planning guide that she desired, she was compelled to share her learnings and knowledge by writing this book.

Naturally Spiritual Business called upon Dogma with this specialist, publishing requirement.  

It was important for the book design to reflect the ideals of Spiritual Business whilst being creative, motivating and personal for the reader.  It was also important for the book to work in conjunction with a suite of proposed Spiritual Business products such as spiritual guiding cards, journal and ecommerce website. 

 

The Solution

Dogma delivered a 260 page inspiring book layout incorporating the heart of the Spiritual Business brand style guide (also developed by Dogma). Featuring a cover design with the intrinsic feel of matt finish, embossed title and spot gloss graphic detailing.

Working purposefully to reflect the ideals of both the company and the book, Dogma commenced this publishing project with a process of research and planning, keeping these ideals at top of mind at all times. 

Artists Greedy Hen were commissioned to create illustrations that would bring visual life to the book and associated products. 

Dogma arranged printing of the publication, sourced distribution through Bookwise, sourced and managed a Public Relations agency, and also produced a suite of extended products including spiritual guiding cards and ecommerce website.

 

 

The Results

‘Spiritual Business: Creating a Business From the Heart’ is due for release in September 2008 at all good bookstores and will be available online via spiritualbusiness.com.au.
